We are in the process of seeking funding to take The Biggest Peace Banner The World has ever Seen on tour through New Zealand, from Auckland to Kaiapoi. Schools and communities through the country will be challenged to add panels to the banner (already 400 metres long) with a view to making it at least 1 kilometre long – so, watch this space
We are also in the process of planning three Kid’s Conferences for the year – one each in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch – so, watch this space
PEACE GARDENS
A growing number of Peace Pal schools in both the north and south Islands designed and planted Peace Gardens within their school environs.
LIVING YOUR PASSION
One People One Planet was included in the book Live Your Passion by Rose Diamond – the inspiring stories of 19 change makers in New Zealand today. The children’s voice was included as part of the 1p1p interview, via a Peace Pals initiated project ‘If I were to plant a seed for our world’. The children’s inclusion gives a compelling overview
of the world they wish to inherit. For example “Tyla: My Whole New World Seed would be a peace seed. The Peace Seed would grow and all the fighting in the world would stop. My seed will grow into a world where everybody from different countries will be friends with each other.”
